An Interstellar experience that rivals opening night in IMAX

Interstellar in concert at Royal Albert Hall

I’m not the only one.

I know I’m not because I’ve Googled it before.

Interstellar is the most spellbinding voodoo ever created. Interstellar can change a man.

Numerous messages, lessons, and inspirations in this film keep your whole body tensed for its nearly 3-hour runtime.

The silences in the film draw out the perfection of the soundtrack like sunlight bringing out the colours of nature.

And from that first whir of the organ, with hairs raised on your arms, you’re locked in.

It’s a film you wish you could watch for the first time every time. And one that comes in as the most watched, only after Home Alone.

I remember watching this for the first time unassumingly on my living room TV. Then on a flight to New York. Then BFI IMAX. Now, in what to me is the pinnacle of the Interstellar experience, it returns for two nights (Sat 4 April 2026 & Sun 5 April 2026) with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra to extend the visceral reaction at the Royal Albert Hall.

If the goosebumps set on by the soundtrack on an aeroplane TV are anything to go by, this will be an extraordinary journey.

It’s part of the Film in Concert series that the Royal Albert Hall does each year.

Among their regulars, like Home Alone and the Harry Potters, they offer specials like these. It’s a truly incredible experience that stretches your emotions to the limits within the walls of one of London’s greatest venues.

If you haven’t seen the film before and you book this, I envy you.
