Brother-and-sister duo The Molotovs are gunning for their third consecutive UK No. 1 physical single with ‘Rhythm Of Yourself‘ and they’ve announced their biggest headline show yet at Camden’s iconic Electric Ballroom.
Matt and Issey Carts have already conquered the physical singles chart twice with ‘More More More’ and ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’. Now they’re back with a track that singer Matt describes as “a chant for individualism”.
The new single drops on 31st October via Marshall Records, complete with B-side ‘Johnny Don’t Be Scared’ on white vinyl and digital platforms. But it’s the story behind the song that really hits home.
Matt explains: “‘Rhythm Of Yourself’ is about people who try to take advantage of you because they think you’re young, vulnerable, and stupid.” The verses paint a picture of a cunning older man dangling a contract in front of a naive kid, promising the world whilst plotting to strip away everything authentic about them.
Musically, they’re channeling early ’80s Jam, Favourite Worst Nightmare-era Arctic Monkeys and Sex Pistols – a potent cocktail that’s already caught the attention of Green Day and Paul Weller. You can imagine it soundtracking the next coming-of-age TV series.
The Electric Ballroom show on 23rd October marks a massive step up for the duo. The 1,500-capacity Camden venue has hosted everyone from Joy Division and The Ramones to Kendrick Lamar and Prince. Tickets go on sale at 5pm today.
Don’t let their ages fool you – Matt’s still 17, Issey’s 19 – but they’ve already clocked up more than 600 gigs since 2020. They’ve shared stages with Sex Pistols, Blondie and The Libertines, and they’re heading off on a US tour supporting Sex Pistols and Frank Carter before their London headline show.
Their debut album ‘Wasted On Youth’ lands on 31st January 2026, but if ‘Rhythm Of Yourself’ follows the trajectory of their previous singles, they’ll have three chart-toppers under their belt long before then.
