Barry Can’t Swim Gets Official APE Afterparty
Barry Can’t Swim is keeping the party going after his All Points East headline slot with an exclusive official afterparty at East London’s Colour Factory.
The Scottish electronic producer will play a DJ set at ‘Amex Afters’ on Friday 22nd August, making it the only official afterparty following his first-ever major festival headline show down the road at Victoria Park.
SHEE joins as special guest, with more acts to be announced. The Kerry-born producer has been making waves across European festivals and earned backing from Barry Can’t Swim himself, plus TSHA, LP Giobbi and Danny Howard.
This follows Barry’s massive year – his debut album ‘When Will We Land?’ landed a Mercury Prize nomination, and he just dropped his second album ‘Loner’ via Ninja Tune in July.
The event kicks off at 11 pm, giving you plenty of time to jump on a Lime bike (just make sure it’s charged…), and promises an intimate setting to catch one of electronic music’s hottest names pushing the boundaries between house, afrobeat and jazz.
Tickets start at £14.95 (plus booking fee) with Amex cardholders getting early access on Wednesday 6th August at 10am. All Points East ticket holders can buy from Thursday 7th August, while a bundle deal for both the festival and afterparty goes live Friday 8th August at £79.95.
Previous Amex Afters have featured TEMS and Little Simz, establishing the series as the place to be when the main event ends.
